What this site provides

bongogardenwhimnor.courses provides independent, general educational information about beginner bongo playing, listening, creative nature-inspired rhythms, and practice planning. The current materials are free written guides. They do not include enrollment, live tuition, videos, examinations, qualifications, or a promise of personal feedback.

The intended audience is curious adult beginners. These pages do not provide supervision for children or replace instruction adapted to an individual learner.

Practice and outdoor safety

You are responsible for choosing a suitable instrument, stable setup, safe volume, and appropriate environment. Follow instrument-manufacturer guidance and applicable venue rules. Stop if an activity causes pain, tingling, numbness, or other concerning symptoms. Seek appropriately qualified advice where needed.

Content is not medical, therapeutic, rehabilitation, or individualized ergonomic advice. No health benefit or learning outcome is guaranteed. Do not damage plants, collect protected materials, disturb wildlife, trespass, or record people in ways that violate privacy or applicable law.

Creative exercises and cultural context

The garden phrases are original learning prompts. They are not presented as established traditional rhythms, scientific measurements of plant behavior, or evidence that natural events follow fixed musical metres. Bongos have Afro-Cuban musical histories that deserve study in their own context.

Names of musicians, authors, books, institutions, and locations are used for identification and further learning. The site is not affiliated with or endorsed by those people or organizations.
